The Mump Market Garden is off grid, which means we do not have access to mains electricity or water which we are proud to say and strive to keep it this way. In addition to this, we are also proud to say that we do not rely on any farm vehicles to grow, cultivate, or harvest our crops, consequently leading to our farm having zero reliance on fossil fuels to grow. Alternatively, we use innovative hand and battery tools which are charged by solar panels.
Fair prices for farmers and artisan food producers is vital
We pay our suppliers at least 50% of the retail value for any products we buy in, and when dealing with wholesalers, we check to make sure they pay fair prices to their growers.
The benefits of buying local
Local food supports local economies. Food grown in the local community supports local jobs and encourages variety in our diets. It also requires less transportation, so it's fresher and has a smaller environmental footprint.
We have been getting boxes delivered for a couple of years now. We always get fast and friendly communication, the produce and products are fantastic. I love supporting local producers and farmers, it creates happiness!
